Newest Delta Captain

Crazy. And they haven't even started their mass retirements yet. So what happens when the A350 and C-Series bids open up? Will that create even more movement? Can't wait to start. Seems like the wave is still in its prime.

What's your projected date?

LOL! Sorry, I got ya confused with someone else.
Internet brah. Who cares? Trying to keep SOME amount of "anonymity." Who cares whom leaves who for where? Thought I graduated high school a while ago? "Zoinks! He left so and so for her, and she's cheating on him with someone else!"

330 FO to 320 CA was largely a financial wash on the W2, if not a little less as captain. I spend a lot more on food but get far less per diem.

My hourly rate is higher, but by virtue of the domestic operation, seniority, per diem and time/money spent commuting, it's probably net less than 330 FO.

If you want to make bank, senior widebody copilot is where it's at.

QOL was far higher on the ER and the 330 in the right seat compared to the 320 left seat.

It just really depends on what you're after. For me, it was more than time to upgrade, but the "newness" wears off after about a year and you kind of tire of the moments where you have to make heavily unpopular decisions. Some people are going to love you and some people are going to loathe you and it's just part of the job.

"Captain...I think you should have kicked that passenger off, last night..."

(Calgon, take me away...)

"Oh here's the medical form. We had a passenger stop breathing about an hour ago, the doctor wanted us to divert but we have plans tonight when we get to Raleigh, but we got it all taken care of but here are 15 different cabin items for the logbook, byEEEEEEEEEEE"

"Umm, wot?"

Well, the reality is, we all care. We all want to know where other folks are working for both networking purposes as well as our own "rear window" curiosity. I sure wish I knew where everyone worked.

But, we also try to respect that each of us is trying to keep some semblance of privacy, so we don't just outright ask nor expect others to answer.

Just a case of mistaken identity. Someone here had left for US/AA and was very happy with the move, so I was curious about why a new jump to another place, in terms of having to do with US/AA. That was all, obviously got the wrong user name. Nothing to see here :)
