Compass Airlines Interview

I know this is an old thread, but I have a Compass interview this Tuesday. It's over the phone, so I don't know how they will have questions on METARs and approach plates and all that. Did you do a phone interview before hand?

I wasn't even asked that during my OJT. They kind of assumed you new what you were doing.
 
So has anyone had a phone interview with them recently? If so, what are the questions like? The usual tell us about...
 
Usually phone interviews are "Tell me about a time" questions by an HR rep. Personality type stuff. If they like you and bring you out for a face to face then that's when the dispatch questions will be asked by a dispatch qualified panel.

Exactly. The Compass phone interview is a standard set of questions, no specific dispatch questions. There's a sheet the interviewer, one of the duty managers usually, ask from...although the manager that usually does the phone interviews, usually doesnt always ask every question and sometimes go's a bit off script. But I dont know if he's still doing the phone interviews.

The in person interview is when they start asking about reading weather/approach plates/alternate mins...etc...

Sorry you didn't get the job, but I am sure there is a much better opportunity for you in the future!
 
Rumors are alot of Endeavour dispatchers applied...trying to stay in MN with all the talks about moving Endeavour HQ to ATL.

Wow I haven't heard of that. Does it look like a real possibility that the move to Atl will happen? If so any idea of when?
 
Heard that rumor too. Heard they would either goto ATL,Eagan,or Building C....or nowhere.

I'd say the bigger concern is about whether or not Endeavor is fat enough to take to the slaughter yet. They love to sell off their wholly owneds for a quick buck. DL has to know that moving them out of the cities would cause all of their recent success to vaporize when the people at 9E refuse to move for the 4th time in 5 years.
 
Just heard Compass apparently isn't telling folks if they got the job until about a week after the interview. Hah that's torture
 
Yea they never told me that I wasn't given the job. One of my friends from Sheffield got it and she told me. Oh well, got an interview with Endeavor Tuesday. That's the one that matters.
