One of those guys in that picture is responsible for most of the contract you fly under.
Which is nice but the pay disparity between the Varsity and the J.V. is still to vast. Same pax, same weather, same airports yada, yada, yada but completely unrelated to my post.

I watched this all too familiar scenario go down at UAL after the ESOP (Google it if you must). Pilots make unrealistic demands, make everyone's life miserable (Summer of Hell) company caves and gives huge raises three years later, bankruptcy ensues. Been there, done that, and after 15 years of dedicated service got the lay-off notice that came with it. Color me pragmatic but economy's ebb and flow as does oil and never forget that when the Delta MEC is making these demands that there are regional FO's eating tuna out of a pouch on a turn because they can't afford to go into the terminal to buy a sandwich. You @amorris311 if anyone should understand this very easily. Be careful what you wish for gents, you just might get it.

Yes, please do. This should be quite entertaining.
No entertainment my friend, just a warning and some cold, hard facts from someone who lived it. I know it might be considered cliche, "but those who do not learn from history are bound to repeat it."

Unless I'm mistaken, the summer of hell was in 2000. You appear to have conveniently left out 9/11. That had a *wee* bit of an impact on everyone.
