Arm and Moment CG

I'm confused on the difference between arm and moment which makes the calculation of cg even more confusing. Can someone please explain the difference and possibly an example. Thanks.

Or the simple version...
Think of a teeter totter. With the Far Side Fat Kid at one end.
The fat kid's weight we'll call "W".
The distance from the teeter point (fulcrum) to the Fat Kid's Ass is the Arm which we'll call "A"
The Moment we'll call M.
WxA=M
WAM! The sound when the Fat Kid's Ass hits the dirt.

No it's not like that. I was defending myself from all the negativity. Too many people diminishing my career goals. I'll do as I please when it comes to defending myself.
Well it came across like that. I don't know you and I don't think we will ever cross paths. Just know that when you defend yourself you come across in a manner that isn't pleasing. I'm giving you a friendly heads up and best of luck in your endeavors.

I'm not the one who revived this thread with attacks. I got several helpful answers- that should have been the end of it, yet some people feel the need to try and force their displeasure on me.

Totally different. I was asking for help while MT was showing his poor attitude towards the regionals. I wouldn't expect you to understand since you seem to be from the pilot side with 2 trillion gazillion posts. I don't understand why an increasing amount of pilots continue to weigh in on my posts- you dont see me rolling on your side of the tracks.

If you're planning on being a dispatcher, you better get used to pilots weighing in on everything you do while at your desk. :)
Me asking a question about the adx should mean nothing to you. Again you don't see me budging into your forum. You all just need to let it go.

This is the problem. DX plays an integral role in the operation. Pilots speak with dispatch all the time for various issues that come up during the planning, flying, post flight. CRM extends well outside the cockpit and this is a beautiful example of how. While it might be frustrating to you that pilots weigh in on this thread, it's just the beginning. People make mistakes and certain people (DX) have access to information that flight crews cannot while enroute. Working together to solve problems is a day in the life for most DX'ers I know. Get used to it and best of luck on your studying.

This isn't meant to come off harsh,but if you can't take criticism over the Internet how are you going to handle a captain who is calling you over company radio that's disagreeing with you on a MX item that they believe they are in the right about? I can't tell by your posts if you work in a SOC somewhere or not,but if you do,be a sponge. Listen to what the dispatchers and MX Controllers are talking about. Hell,even listen to the schedulers regarding 117. Maybe that approach will help you. I just got back into the industry and am working on my dispatch ticket,but a lot has changed since I last worked for an airline. I've been doing more listening than talking. Ive already picked up a lot on my own
