I never liked this guy anyways...

(CNN)He may just be a parent with two kids trying to go on vacation, but rules are rules. Even if you're Russell Crowe.

The 51-year-old Academy Award-winning actor has slammed Virgin Australia after being told at airport check-in that his children's hoverboards were not permitted in the plane's hold.

A snippet of a story I heard from a flight attendant a few years ago: "…I know, right? So then I said, 'Shame on your Mr. Duhamel, besides you're not even famous anymore'"

When you're surrounded by people who are so enamored with your fame that they do not ever tell you "no", it is not surprising that people can become self-entitled and self-professed social, governmental/political, and financial experts.

Actors.

Musicians.

Professional Athletes.

At least CEOs and big businessmen may have some insight about the financial aspect, but the same generally goes for them, too.

Stuff like this is why I chuckle when people share the political opinions of some famous person on social media. Just because everyone knows who they are doesn't mean they aren't a huge dumbass.

Even better when it turns out that said celebrity wasn't even the actual source. Recently someone shared a conservative "I want my country back" rant credited to Jeff Foxworthy. Turns out he said nothing of the sort. Which means someone went out, wrote the multi paragraph rant and thought "I need to put someone's name on here that will give it credibility..." And that's the best they could come up with.

Hey, he's got money, why doesn't he charter a plane?

Virgin better give him what he wants. They had better watch out because a famous actor once said, "I'll have my revenge. In this life or the next."

Well, look on the bright side. A story like this shows that even celebrities don't always get want they want.

We got a memo saying that we are prohibited (by the company) from carrying hover boards. So we would have gotten the same rant. :)

This is exactly why despite the growing popularity of these contraptions, a razor scooter is all I need to zip around the terminal.

Good grief! People are not fat, unmotivated, out of shape and lazy enough as it is? Now what........you need a contraption to haul your fat ass over to answer the front door for the pizza delivery man and then to scoot you to the frig for more beer and back to the couch to sit back down on your lard ass and play more video games. Great. Just fricking great.
