Flew a trip through there and they claimed we were misfiled as an MD11 (nope we had what was filed right in front of us with the correct aircraft) and wanted to charge a fee to fix It.

Sounds about right. We got in the night before, took them 3.5 hours to "find" the fuel truck - even though we saw one drive by every 10-15 minutes.

I prefer to walk around on my FO's legs. I get some fresh air and keep a better appreciation of my origin.

Plus it drives 'em nuts in recurrent when they want to play "stump the captain" during the exterior inspection portion during CQ.

I'd love to fly a Cheyenne but not maintain one. Actually if it's like a chieftain I wouldn't even mind working on one, just not pay the bills.

I was wrong both times. It's AUK. 7.5 hours and 18 legs today, that was a blur. I didn't sit down except to fly.

Something a co-worker I hated working alongside drove that point home right before she left on maternity. "Never forget where you come from. You might find yourself there one day, in a different light."

And here I am, assigning the very fuel loads I used to wait for......though I still say "top them sumbitches off, it ain't done til the truck pump dies."
