Are you aware that the PAPI and VASIS are looped on a separate lighting system and are *generally on all the time.
I turn them on to alert anyone who could be operating without a radio or not paying attention that I'm inbound.

So funny story, because it wasn't me... Somebody thought that it would be funny to say something similar to a departing caravan. He wasn't there the next week when I covered that route...If you're at high altitude during the day, just tune up 122.7/122.8 and transmit "aircraft on final, go around!", and hear.......maybe even see......the hilarity ensue, in multiple different counties.
