Hello all. Vey general question, but as much info would be very helpful.

What is the minimum number of hours people have seen to get a job as SIC or PIC for a 91 or corporate position. Maybe even 135 jet SIC. I know a lot of companies use Wyvern and ARGUS and companies along those lines. As well as it just matter of being a fact of calling the insurance company and see what they think.

I know their are a lot of occasions where "its about who you know". Because trust me I know.

Signed- someone who is ready to get out of the ditch.

Part 91 <1000 happens and 99.999% it's who you know.

Better question what time do you have and where do you want to go? I bet you Uncle @Derg probably has someone in his living room that can help.

Yea really depends. Part 91 I have seen a guy get a job at a Fortune 500 with 500 TT because he checked out the chief pilot in the cub they had at the flight school he was teaching and they hit it off. Most 135 jet operators are going to use Wyvern or ARGUS times which will be more in the 2500 TT for most charter jet operators at least in this area.

I'd say that most Jet and T-Prop PIC will require an ATP at a minimum regardless of 91 or 135.

SIC is really anyones guess. My company has hired SIC's at 500 and 7,000TT.

Its all about the needs of the operator at the time.
