Meanwhile delivering cargo to a forest service camp today I managed to snap this picture.

I almost miss flying charters into there, shearer, and fish lake. I'd always talk the boss into letting me leaving a day early or staying a day after the drop off so I could camp overnight.

Just did that very approach with "gypsy pilot" a few days ago, in the snow and darn close to minimums. Landing Aspen, even on a nice day, is never boring.

Well, it was a NRT-SYD leg, so I'd hope one wouldn't go east.

CPDLC almost the whole way makes life just oh so much better, too.

So there I was, just having landed after shooting an ILS, and started taxiing to our ramp ( in a UH60). When a 717 landed. I couldn't help but think, man it would be cool to be up front in that.
Only to quickly realize the guys up front were looking over at me saying the exact same thing.

It's all about perspective. As long as you're happy when you're heading to, and home from work.
