The only thing I've hated driving more than a full size pick up is a Penske moving truck. I really don't understand the attraction. It was slow, handled like crap, was uncomfortable since it bounced around all over the place...why on earth would you want to drive that every day?

Why to lift it of course... and to put a huge honkin' obnoxious exhaust on it so you can coal roll people!!!

As my wife likes to say to me, " You're a country bumpkin". I don't have a truck at the moment since I haven't really needed one in awhile. I got rid of my old one for the reasons you mentioned, but more so for gas. I will be getting another eventually, we have her car to get sporty in. Just trying to have a little fun this AM ;)

I'm pretty much the only one in my community who doesn't drive a lifted truck.

It's actua funny seeing how many of them have to park at the bottom of our hill when it snows and walk up.
I used to have an AWD VW Passat that would do way better in our wonderful snow than any truck, same with my wifes BMW. I don't like lifting trucks and stupid exhaust, I just always am hauling crap from my yard, family real estate properties and pulling trailers around.

Makes sense. Tires okay a HUGE role too. Last spring we got my wife an '05 Subaru Outback. Figured it would be amazing in the snow. I was a little unsure of the Goodyear Eagle tires on the thing. Turns out my concern was correct. First snow last week and my wife (a very competent driver) put it in a ditch. That said, she was able to get it right back out. We ended up getting her some chains in the mean time, but I'm gonna get rid of those tires as soon as possible. Great in the dry as they have lots of flat surface area, but pretty much useless in snow.

The attractions are the tax deductions and ability to put dead animals in the back, or pull my boat, or pull my sleds, or pull my razor, or put more dead animals in the back.

The modern day half ton is far from uncomfortable or bouncy.

I often read a lot of hate toward @Trip7. I think maybe because he not only got out of the junior varsity league, but also because of where he ended up at. Maybe it's because I'm not in the industry and in a vicious gnash cluster, desperately trying to scratch, and claw myself up and out of the regionals. But though you were most likely being sarcastic, I read his comment as him saying don't sweat the small stuff, and to keep your eyes on the prize. I don't think that he's at all forgotten about his friends and co-workers he left at super regional. I more than believe that he's quite aware of the overwhelming sentiment of anger and frustration had by those with stellar resume and flight time who want out--now, but aren't getting calls. I don't think he's a being condescending, in fact he really seems to be offering sagely advice to those that will listen, who will come up to the varsity league later, and how to be prepared when it happens. Marcus really networked his Black ass off, and volunteered his time off work to be able to get where he is. What are you doing to get there, what're all of you doing to get there? Serious question.

Thank you for that post Max, I would like it more than once if I were able.

How much additional HP you pushing out now, with the addition of the fart can? :p

Actually going from a 2.5 inch exhaust to a 3 with a wider downpipe should free up some back pressure after the turbo allowing it to spool faster. It won't be more power, but it'll be available sooner.

Haven't messed with it enough to really tell though.
