Oh wow, I didn't know that. No, that's in base also. They don't pay for any parking. It's absurd.

I also really want to live in Colorado. United would be great but Denver is senior and shrinking.
Haha, that's like me saying NYC is overrated. And like I said earlier most guys I fly with that want one of the big 3 usually do so because: 1. Faster upgrade 2. Wide bodies 3. A specific base. How is that any different?First, I think Colorado is overrated.
Secondly, bases grow and shrink ALL the time.
Thirdly, if you base your airline choice where you want to hang your hat on one or two things, you are doing yourself a disservice.
Coming from SoCal... it's pretty affordable. The burbs even more so!Colorado is great. Denver is just too damned expensive.
Are they trying to get that included in the next contract Zap?Someone told me in Vegas it's over $1000 per year.![]()

Haha, that's true. It seems like it's getting pricer and pricer each year unfortunately. SoCal is nice but I'd only be able to afford a closet if I bought something let alone a house with a yard.I'm from Atlanta and @Seggy lives in Tex-ass, so we've got about the same cost of living. Take the house I bought for $280k and drop it into Denver and you'll pay anywhere between $650k and $1 million, depending on which part of town. So I'd say it's pretty pricey. And unlike So-Cal, they can't justify it by saying you live by the beach.![]()
It's been the time of my life— but nothing on Earth beats "command".
I jumped at the chance to commute to SJU once just because I could not stand one more stinkin minute in the right seat. It paid off and I have been based at home since 2008, loving the good life.
Lol! Ya, no kidding. Good friend over there showed me their lines and most blocked anywhere from 68-77hrs for 90-95hrs pay or TFP. That was for OAK.
That's assuming they don't raise the retirement age to 67 too.
