New Eagle TA

"I" didn't spend anything.

If budget and fiscal responsibility are important to you, and since you seem very upset about such finite amounts, you should really ask your rep why he was removed from flying status and paid to go to DC when all he did was abstain.

Ask where the funding is coming from for the extra MEC meetings. Do you know how much an MEC meeting costs? Did you know that there are people on full time union leave that simply sit in the office watching movies?

Instead, Rettig enlisted the help of a senior ALPA official, Bill Couette, to subvert all the correct channels for dispersal of such a message; even legal review. Couette tried hard to get the union to swallow a B scale last year, I surmise in an effort of self preservation as he is an Eagle pilot with a nice cushy senior union job now.

Captain Couette is a better man than you'll ever be.

All I know of your deity is that he sent an email to our union almost threatening that they should take a B scale.

I have to find it in my laptop, but I will post it. If all you knew of the guy was that email, you would think he is a tool too.

It's not a better deal. That b scale had zero concessions for all pilots on property. I don't think we should have entertained it, and would have voted against it, but we are worse off for it.

@LoadMasterC141

I don't work at Eagle anymore. If I were still there, I would be a no vote. I don't think anyone is calling you out for wanting to vote no. I'm thinking it's more the REASON behind the no vote. Others have stated that they are "no's" knowing full well what might happen to the company if this thing gets turned down.

The minority over on the "other" site seem to think, vote no, company is lying, they'll come back with a better deal. Could that happen? I do not know. But that group of people seems to think that it's a certainty that the company will come back with a MUCH better deal, raises perhaps! And they are selling that notion hard. I don't think a lot of them are thinking about the possible consequences. It really could go either way. Company could shut the doors or they could offer one hell of a deal.

Plan for the worst. Hope for the best.

Again, voting no knowing that the deal isn't great and the company could shut down is fine. At least then one would be realistic. But voting no because some hard core tea baggers THINK they know a better deal will be offered, is a fast track to unemployment.

I'm not sure who all is part of the MEC/LECs anymore, but aren't a lot of them leaving for AA soon? What's their interest in keeping the company afloat? For all we know, they could just want the no vote to prove to the regional industry they can match penis length with the Expressjet guys. They get their no vote, "prove" whatever they're trying to prove, and then split for AA.

That's my take on all of this anyways. Worth a lot less then $.02, I know.

This is just sad. If I want to watch so much drama, I would watch E! or Bravo with my wife. It's unfortunate it is coming from my union during a time where unity should be the battle cry. Both sides are guilty and both sides annoy me. Unfortunately, it will be the line pilots that suffer the most from this reality show.
