Went hiking today and found this B24J wreck (I think). Most of it has slide down the gully to the valley floor and we didn't have time to access it. I'll head back up there again soon with more daylight.

Yeah for sure. I was saying for the benefit of @SurferLucas. I probably shoulda quoted a different post.
There are some on the forums that say the Rokinon 8mm is solid but others laugh at the thought of something that off branded. Might be worth a shot to get a fairly priced used one and see how it works for you and then be able to sell it back for the same price.

I really like the 17-55, it pretty much lives on my camera. All the reviews of it online are great, and I'd have to agree. The autofocus can annoying - but I'm comparing it to my 70-200L so...

Here are my two favorite shots with this lens. (I've already posted these in here, but whatever)



 
You can find a nifty fitty for close to 100 bucks on sale on amazon/adorama sometimes. And if you have a student ID/email you can get a rebate back from tamron on the 17-55. I think I got like 75 dollars back
