Ooo, I like that oneOne way I remembered it when flying skydivers was we set QNH, (Normal Humans) and they set QFE (F'n Ediots)
Also, maybe stated before, but transition altitude is on the way up, transition level is on the way down.
I think half of the pilots here have it backwards. Not that it matters much in the Caribbean. It's pretty much always 30*C and 1013.Yep. As bass akwards as it seems.
QFE when set will give you height above the Field Elevation
QNH when set will give you Normal Height
QNE is set for Normal Enroute (above 18000)
The Caribbean weather channel is hilarious. It's a big Puerto Rican guy standing in the middle of the map and pointing at the different islands.Same out of MIA.

Kuwait is QNH these days. When I used to fly in Kuwait back in the day, TA was 3000' and TL was 5000', or FL50. Below those, we were required to set QFE. So climbing past 3000', you switched to QNE, then descending through 50, you went back to QFE. Don't know whether that has changed or not since then, as it's been nearly 20 years.
