Rant from a regional FO!

As far as this thread. Good riddance to all those that hate this job and this industry. There are those of us that stick it out make it work and adjust when needed and go home and enjoy life. If you can't hack it, try to make it better or leave. I don't think anyone specifically asked for it but the coddling and encouraging to stick it out is a joke. Solid career advice telling one to stick around for an ATP but I rather one less grumpy ass entitled ATP out there. Honestly the best and worst part of this industry is the fellow pilots, best friends and brothers to backstabbing drama queens.

Tribal arm tattoos, all around!

And then that guy shows up with the Southwest airlines jet tattoo and all bets are off.

Yikes, I have a terrible tribal tattoo. There is a good story behind it though further proving that people do stupid crap when they are young and drunk. Is that an excuse? Yup! ;)

Several years back at NJC I recall a hike with ATN_Pilot, Rocketman99, BobDDuck and I, out in the desert along the phallic road..We could have easily taken care of things ;) and made him disappear, but despite what happens on the boards, in the end we get along. There was some differing opinions during the trek but in the end, people can agree to disagree and still get along. That is what I take from this site....

I want my $20 back then. You were supposed to make the "problem" disappear. I am disappoint.

I always thought it was pretty important not to equate an internet persona with an "in person" persona. People talk a little more loosely over the internet than they would in a face to face conversation when you realize this is just a dude that deals with the same crap that you do.

While I highly suspect that there are some that are just as big of a tool in person (I'm speaking in general, not of any particular person,) I would still be more than willing to buy the first round in order to be proven wrong.

I'm the same in real life. It would take way too much effort to deal with another "online" personality when I already have to deal with the seven others in my head.

Why anyone would volunteer themselves as Bruce Willis after "Hudson Hawk", which I enjoyed, is beyond me!

That might be true, I just would try and give someone the benefit of the doubt of not being as big of a dick in person as they are on line.

Oh absolutely. I have no doubt I would get along with 99% of the peeps on here. Just more of an FYI, after almost 10 yrs here my online persona is my real life...although obviously tone can't and jocularity can't be sensed through the vacuum tubes.

I still don't get the dual personas on a networking site.

I've met quite a few guys from here, and what I've seen in person seems to match the posts.

I'm just a mega dbag all around!

Yeah, I think its pretty sad to have to be a different person on the inter webs than in real life.

I'm funnier on the internet, but that's just because I have more time to think about what I want to say. Other than that, I'm exactly the same dbag that posts here.
