Alaska Air pilots going to Maui

Are there any Alaska air pilots on JC doing flight #823 from SAN to OGG on April 9 or flight #854 from OGG to SAN on April 16?

We are traveling with several families and a bunch of kids. The kids would love some aerobatics on the way...you know, just to make the flight more fun. I would also enjoy meeting a fellow JCer.
 
Nope, not me. I just had shoulder surgery last week and am out till mid-May. Probably wouldn't be me anyway seeing as most of the Hawaii flying has gone to the other domiciles...

SAN to OGG was 5+29 today.

Alaska Airlines 737-800 has a seat pitch of 32" and 17" wide seats, 141 in coach with three aft lavs.
Deltal Airlines Hawaii 757-200 has a seat pitch of 31" and 17" wide seats, 153 seats in coach and two aft lavs.

Just as brutal, eh?

Yeah it is but it is narrow body as well. That's why I would commute with Hawaiian. Plus the huge free meals were great for a starving FO.

I consider ATL-SAV to be brutal in a 757! :)

Yes, but in a 737, the largest threat is bird strikes...

ANC-HNL today is 5+44. Aside from being wide open today and tomorrow, pretty full for the rest of the week.
ANC-KOA today is 5+47, wide open.

I did a lot of ANC-HNL this winter and were always full.

Commonly repeated platitude about the 737 is commonly repeated.

From a pure comfort perspective, it's a tossup. I'm too bloody tall to sit in coach comfortably in just about all airliners anyway.

Thanks for the responses. It sounds like @Cheechako needs a Mai Tai....for medicinal purposes of course. Get well soon.

I don't fly commercial often, but my experience is that coach just is not a great place to be for any length of time.

Depends what you prefer, I would much prefer to do a trip like that than sit in the cockpit for 5 hours in cruise... I've done a lot of both and know what I like now. But everyone has their preference!
