"Harlem Shake" - The FAA is not impressed

Er ma gerd. Does the FAA really think there's something worth "investigating" there?! Really, FAA? REALLY?!

So much facepalm. So much facepalm... I watched the video, I saw a bunch of people being silly. That's it.

The Harlem Shake humor wore off after watching just one Harlem Shake video.

I'll admit I think the whole "Harlem Shake" concept is pretty dumb.

But for the FAA to think they need to launch an investigation into the flight in question is pretty dumb too.

I don't think the headsets were TSO'd.

Don't let XJT's POI find out about that, they might get a 2 week suspension. I also hope their Jepps were up to date and they were wearing their shoulder harnesses during pushback. Oh and if their boards aren't up they'll probably get a call from the tower.

Oh, and just for good measure: binocular ninjas.

Thought you were EWR based? Those guys are good people. It was always the IAH wannabes you had to look out for. Especially used to be a really nice guy former cop now CP (or ACP not sure) whose name I won't mention.

Yeah, still EWR based, mostly because the CPO is the best in the company. Those folks make the job a whole heck of a lot easier to deal with. Eventually, though, I'll probably start driving to Cleveland. It's a 2.5 hour drive from here, and my seniority will eventually get so good there that it doesn't make sense to continue to pass up.

Also, the former cop is in the training department now. How'd you like to get a checkride from that guy?

Ugh. I thought they cut the dead wood out of that place? I can remember when the cop was a great CRM instructor. Funny, engaging...very good. Then he did a 180.

The CLE CP is a great guy as well if it's the same person.

The Harlem Shake originated on 125th and Lexington where gang bangers would shoot unsuspecting cripples with crutches. The staggering fall of these cripples created a signature move, adapted by gang-affiliates and introduced at local parties.

Now that's funny!

What base is closer, ORD or CLE? XE has a ORD base for their UA flying, right? Also doesn't the ASA side have a Delta CRJ base At DTW?

CLE by an easy 1.5 hours, and much more with traffic. And yes, we have a base 20 minutes from my house, but at the rate the JCBA is going I'll hold DTW 320B at Delta before I can bid onto the CRJ here.
