I came the closest I've ever come to killing my self in an airplane there. First time in a 172 after flying the CRJ for 4 years. Flew down there from MA to visit my grandmother. Filed. Had plates aboard and planned on getting in with 2000 foot ceilings. Ended up having to shoot a 6 pack approach down to 300 feet.

You should have seen my first ILS in an airplane after flying an airship for 18 months. You know, when your used to being able to eat a meal from the outer marker to DH, things get busy in a hurry in an airplane.

I once waited for an airship to land from an ILS approach at an uncontrolled field with about 400 foot ceilings. Center told us to hold for release due to traffic at the marker. We waited. And waited. And waited. And waited. Kind of cool seeing the thing pop out of the clouds though.
