GoJet slides off taxiway in Albany

Well there goes those pilots' jobs... I have a couple of buddies that work there and they tell me that management will not tolerate "any mistakes". AKA things like this. And I recently met an ex-CA from GoJets that was let go for missing a commute to work. He worked there for a few years, perfect record, and it was his first time ever having something like that happen.

Non-unionised I assume?

yes they are unionized... Teamsters

It's not the "airline" Teamsters union though. I don't know what the Teamsters specific legal services look like, but I do know from working some with the lawyer that represents the ALPA side of the Transtates Holdings house, they are VERY quick to terminate someone who has messed up, or they perceive to have messed up or they just don't like.

Sheesh.

If my employer fired everyone that may have made a mistake behind the yoke, I'd be very senior right now! :) :sarcasm:

Pilots don't make mistakes. Ever. We only do things on purpose, for reasons which may not be known at that exact moment. And it's always the airplanes fault. Or ATC.
