Flew with DPApilot

Finished up a 3 day trip with DPApilot yesterday. Surprisingly, I wasn't running away from the airplane after the last leg screaming in terror :D

Mike is by far one of the best FOs I have flown with since moving to Silver. He is not only a good pilot, but he knows the airplane very well and also knows the operations end as well as some captains I know. Furthermore, he is more of a professional than other pilots I have flown with, both here and at my previous employer.

I honestly would fly with Mike every trip if I could. I had more fun and was actually able to relax a little bit compared to most of the other FOs I have flown with in the past couple of months.

Awesome trip and I will definitely be looking to do this again :)
 
I've flown with Mike, and agree, not only does he rank as one of the better pilots I have ever flown with, he also a has a great attitude outside the airplane.

But don't let it go to your head Gulley, or I'm sure someone will be there to knock you down a few pegs :)

Kidding aside, it is way easier to say "Flew with DB from KABC, what a tool." You don't hear often around here, "Flew with FO Soandso, they are a class act." It does mean a lot when someone is willing to stick their neck out for ya.

Just sayin'.

True.

But... most of the FOs I've flown with have been Gulley's seniority or junior to him. I've flown with FOs recently that not only have more time in the Saab, but way more total time than Mike, and he blows them out of the water.

That's cool - I've met Mike - good guy with a great sense of humor. Anyone who can laugh at their own expense is good in my book.
 
Ctab, I flew with you as well (at your previous employer) and take offense.

Yes, some sarcasm, but only a little. Hmmph..

Met Gulley and was favorably impressed with him. More mature than many people much older, and had taken on more responsibility than many people much older.
 
I fought in the trenches with Mike at the Bellagio. I was his wing man and we won that night. Its refreshing to know he is good at something ;)
 
I have never met him and know nothing about him, but would also like to say that I think he's a fine gentleman (since it seems to be the thing to say today).

The pleasure was mine ctab5060X! Honestly, you were one of the best captains I've flown with here. Wes has a vast knowledge of both the industry and airplane, and is very willing to share that. I learned a lot during our 3 day and hope I am lucky enough to fly with him again. I have to give a big thanks to Derg for this website because without it, I wouldn't have had the pleasure of flying with Wes. It's funny thinking of the little dbag I was when I first came on this site. Since then I have been very lucky to meet some awesome friends!
