Blasphemy! Bro = why not go to Skywest, 1900 = "yawn"You should be asking about the 1900 or Brasilia. Sure, we all think the Metro is cool, but the other 2 are the ones that make AMF worth the time and QOL hit you'd take.
...why not go to Skywest...
The majors still have a platter of much more experience pilots to hire from. Give it time. Getting 121 jet time is only boosting their resume. The only problem is stomaching the low pay at the regional.Yes, now there's a fine question since many AMFers do exactly that even after they've acquired some of that magical TPIC time. Curious, isn't it?
someone tell me the 1900 Schedule in KSDF, and Metro schedule in KCVG?
Thanks
it doesn't destroy us at all actually. We may be less, but I am easily sitting better than first year pilots right now. First year pay is what I need to stomach.Eh, I'm pretty sure second year FO pay at Air Wisconsin and Skywest destroy us.

I would rather blow acid out my butt hole than be there.someone tell me the 1900 Schedule in KSDF, and Metro schedule in KCVG?

Which one,and why?I would rather blow acid out my butt hole than be there.
Probably both. Closer you get to the hub the more your life sucks.Which one,and why?
To me, AMF is that girl in high school that you just... KNOW would've been a "hot sexy beast" of a lifetime" lol... But, you never had the chance to toss the beg-in-strip to.
I talked to Ms. Sherri once. Unfortunately my wife isn't having it. I almost lost her once and ain't willing to do it again. I did a trip for a buddy today to TOL and talked to some boys. It's not total gost-town, but damn they need some freight. Way too many empty cans. SW is there now... Anyone know anything about that? SA-227's
I think the ones that leave before getting 1000 are nuts! Yes, 1000TPIC is nothing realistically speaking, but at the very least, it is a pretty hard insurance minimum that even the most charming personality is going to be hard pressed to get by. Seems like a good thing to have in your back pocket IMO. Especially if the regional you go to goes bust before you upgrade.
What are the competitive numbers? I'm willing to bet it involves TPIC at the legacies. This is was matters in the end. People at majors on this very site say 1500 TPIC is optimal. With a background of 121, 135, CFI, TPIC, and PIC time in general I expect to be more competitive than most of the 2007-2008 zero to hero wave of pilots.1000TPIC is not an insurance minimum for anyone.
1000TPIC is what AMF has burned into everyone that SWA will hire you at that magic number. When was the last time you have seen an AMF guy hired at SWA?
Those numbers will change, US Air isnt asking for 1000TPIC, neither is Delta. UAL and SWA will change their tunes once the hiring gets real good again.
The regional versus freight debate could go on forever. But at some point you need to look at your outlook. If it takes 3-4 year to get 1000TPIC because the runs suck.
