I guess theoretically, if you were to get hired on the Q400 as a newhire FO, you could be top on that airplane indefintely since no current pilots can bid to the FO seat as it stands right now, unless there is a displacement bid.

Our pilot group contests the way our company runs these bids...But since we are talking RAH hypothetically anyways...
Say you have a base in Memphis, Detroit, and Atlanta. The company closes Memphis, and puts out a displacement bid for all the pilot to go to Atlanta.

Displacement is a wonderful thing that happens when there are more pilots in a base, seat, and equipment type than there are pilot positions in that base/seat/equipment.
