Apparently the orange site has a listing for Q400 fos out of Denver already.
lynx had significantly lower utilization than Colgan. Colgan lead the Q operators in 2010 by a fair amount... The Colgan q frequently had months with 99%+ controllable.
The one I poked around in, was, torn up. The sky service guy tearing it apart for retrofit said it was a mess.. Was 2 weeks beyond projected date still waiting on parts.
Lynx paid for the fancy stuff up front, but didn't keep up with it. Fuel oil exchanger valves, seat mods, supplements, the "non hardened" compressors, pre mod apu's. Etc. I don't believe they were the enhanced high gross versions either.
If the asset transfer is too transparent, the union can, ( and I'm guessing Bc it's RAH) would make a case.
So can you apply for that specific base?RAH has posted FO hiring slots for Q400 DEN.

When you get hired you will put your bid in and your base/aircraft will be assigned in seniority order based on vacanies
That's good for your guys. I wonder if they decided to throw you a bone in an effort to influence your FOs: see we can have growth if you don't press for a good contract. To fly the dash again out of denver makes me want to apply, but if its going to be Lynx payrates I dunno if I can survive.Just to pass it along..Weve been told, No Street Capts for these positions.
So does anyone know what pay rates these will be flow under? As someone in the furlough range at 9E with only a year in I'm considering...
Didn't even think to look up if Lynx was still on there.
Well back to the drawing board I suppose.
What kind of • contract is that?Nope. One can apply and be hired strictly for the Q in Denver and know from day 1. The CA slots will be open to any of our FO's on any certificate, but the current FO's will not be sliding over to this aircraft. Just another screw job with our toilet paper contract.
We contest that using the lynx rates are against our contract, infact, they are no where to be found. So what should happen and what happens, is yet to be determined. Republic already has the Q400 on it's certificate and an entire program with furloughed Q400 pilots (Lynx). Also, Republic can work with the FAA to obtain approval to provide a "differences" sort of course for current Colgan Q400 pilots hired into Republic with a reduced training footprint. This was done by Colgan in 2005 for Chicago Express pilots on the Saab 340. Reduced sim/ground school.
The Colgan certificate is seen as Voodoo these days.
