I can't wait til next week to see ur half jap asss in ewr! U better plan on going and getting some good sushi. We got an awesome group in our class.... 5 hours credit a day!!
What's the diff between 3.O.2 and 3.T.1? One says 4hrs for ground training and the other say's 5 hrs for short term training..
Mr. Congressman I refer you to you're own comments.
Anyway, whatever. Your record here of trying to help your fellow pilot more than outweighs any single crass remark. Honestly I've got nothing against ASA, they've always had a remarkable contract, great numbers, and are the apple of Delta's eye. I'm glad as much flying goes to them. I hope you guys raise the bar in your own way during these contract talks as well, makes it easier during our next round of talks.

Horizon's MX is really good, but the Q400 is still behind the CRJ in dispatch reliability...and probably always will be. The Q400 has so many can pop up and screw up your day. It SHOULD have been the clean sheet design that it was intended to be, and maybe it wouldn't have as many problems.
I think we're looking at having a spare in PDX and in SEA before too much longer. We've had the Q4 since it was new and it still hasn't gotten to where we need it MX wise. So unless Mesaba/Colgan has some magic dust to sprinkle on it, good luck!
The Q400 training at Horizon is top notch...they really throw the book at you and get you ready for just about everything you'll see on the line.
Are you guys still doing ref speed and Vse for approach bugs? Or did you pick up the Vref and Vref ICE way of doing things?
Just heard a strong rumor from a reliable source (can not divulge) that there is a sizable growth plan moving forward for the Q400. Shed’s light on why MGMT wanted this deal done so badly.
45 Q’s with 15 going to DEN for the Calnited and 30 in MSP for Delta. The 30 will have a 2 class configuration.
Hang on everyone!!
So you are saying you guys aren't cheap labor? I don't think he meant it as an insult, but was just calling a spade a spade. Things have improved greatly with the new contract, but even the best compensated regional is still "cheap labor" otherwise we would all be at mainline.
Back to the topic of the thread? What did your source say about a timeline? I for one have always been saying that this Delta doesnt want props thing is not true, they just dont want saabs in my opinion. I expect to see tons of q400's at delta in the future. I think they are going to replace a lot of our crj 200's faster than we realize which is why it is so important we are all going to be on one list.
I think we should also all pay attention to what is going on at jetblue right now. They are voting to farm out 10% of their flying to a regional airline. The plane of choice would probably be the 175 but the 900 is not out of the question. I think it would be in jetblues and all of our bests interest if they held the line on that one and kept all flying in house. We already have a JFK base though and I hope they are not in talks with them for the jet blue pilots sake, especially the ones that just left here to go there.

And that was not a knock on the colgan pilots just saying mesaba is the only one of us not extremely short staffed right now
right, which leads me to believe these furloughs were called back for a reason and we might hear some sort of announcement sooner than later.
