American Eagle Recruiting

Just quick advice for the airlineapps.com, TAKE YOUR TIME when filling them out. I met with one of the recruiters back in April in Vegas and was told to fill out the airlineapps and I would be contacted directly. I was told they love people with my experience and I thought for sure I would be a shoe in. Needless to say i made a calculation error on my times (pic vs. Dual) when i submitted my app and never heard back from them. When I fixed the problem I called to let them know my error but still never heard back. I have 1550tt 1250 me/turbine ( yes a former gulfstream guy) and I never got a call or email. So be careful and take your time when filling out the webpage because Eagle is the place to be these days and you may only get one shot.

Kind of tough to standout with that.........dime a dozen quals/times and all. Agree, maybe an internal rec.
 
200 is not strongly recommended it is required. I was hired there in 2007, Eagle spent $10k on me for a jet training course, and this time around even though I've tripled my TT (now over ATP mins) not having 200 ME was a big NO. I could have at least half a dozen internal recs... don't fool yourself, it's all about time.
 
So I guess the big question now is, how do you get internal recs?? I mean, I understand networking is where it's at, but it seems easier said than done for most... yay? nay?
 
Negative... I'm out of the loop, so I'm not sure if you're implying that there's more than a handful of AE pilots who aren't in good standing, haha..

Nah, not implying that at all. Just that the key to an internal recc is well, having an employee (in good standing) write a LOR.

Otherwise, do you really want a letter of recc for Delta from one of the "I wuz on my laptop" guys? :)
