Favorite Livery?

The old Delta paint scheme with the iconic red, white and blue widget always looked very clean, business like and professional to me. The black radar nose cone had that "Get the hell out of my way" tough look like that of an Orca. Their crews also had the best looking uniforms with the double-breasted navy blue sport coats. It all just looked very professional to me.

Nowadays, it seems they just blend in with everyone else and the paint scheme has changed so much in the last 10-15 yrs I have trouble picking them out of a crowd.

The L1011 and 757 looked the best in the old paint scheme. Guess it's because I grew up around Atlanta and all I ever saw was Delta and Eastern paint schemes in the Georgia skies.

Delta should've NEVER messed with that iconic widget. You don't mess with Pan Am's blue globe and you don't mess with the Delta widget....IMHO!
 
I'm a big fan of the shiny ones too. My first ever 75- ride was on one of these:

Dunno why, but I've always kind of liked LAN's and Aeroflot's.

My favorites:

1. T-6 + sponsors + those colors = sexy

2. Does it need explanation?

3&4. I'm a little bias towards these.

5. Refer to #1, and put four of them in formation.

Hmm tough one. The DL Widget is way up there with my favorites. Especially on the 732, 752, and L1011. Also really liked USAir's 90s colors. But my favorite is for sure a tie between these 4, I just can't pick one:

So you like the Russian sub commander outfit?!?! BTW, they're black, not blue ;).

And, I agree, they never should have messed with the Widget. I need to look around for it but, someone photoshopped the current Delta livery with the old style Widget on the tail. It actually looked really good. Much better than the "Listing Widget".

Sorry...they don't let me over at the pax terminal very often. Something about security and freightdawgs mingling with the upper class sector of society! :D

Probably been 15+ yrs since I last saw the Delta uniform so I couldn't remember if the were a dark navy blue or black. Anywho, it's sharp!
