ATTN: Current UND Students: Laptop Program

If thats true its funny, but good luck getting that honored just by posting the screencap. I'm good at photoshop too.

Funny story to speak of the stupidity that runs amuck here. . . When I worked at the airport they accidentally paid me 1000 dollars an hour for my first paycheck and deposited 29,000 dollars into my bank account. I told them about it, it was a friday and they left in in my account over the weekend because their accounting people were gone!!! I should have closed my account and ran :banghead: Off topic but figured I'd through that story out here! haha

Wheres my money?

Well, unfortunately I don't think you will get your money. You stated that they paid you 1000 dollars an hour when actually they paid you 800 dollars an hour. You also said they deposited 29000 dollars into your account when actually it was $29773.64. So that proves that you are a liar!!

Better luck with photoshop next time n00b!

:)

Like a said it is in my campus connection as well. Let me guess. . . . I obviously doctored Campus Connection? :rotfl:

I'm not saying you did or didn't doctor it, but if I had $1000 coming my way, I might be a little motivated to use my photoshop skills to my advantage.

I don't see where he lived up to the terms of the agreement yet.

... But your ATM slip is not proof. Let's get a notorized letter from HR at UND. You will have to sign a release allowing them to disclose your past pay stubs...

... However, the terms of my wager were very clear. We need to get a letter from UND HR (or payroll), not a document you provide. That letter must state that you were overpaid $29,000. In order for this to occur, you will need to sign a letter consenting to such a request. I will send my $1000 to a person we can both mutually agree upon. Is there anyone at UND Aerospace you would trust as an intermediary? If not, I am open to your suggestions.

I have proof through my campus connection and my bank statements. Not "documents provided by myself". The document they provided me with was the one I scanned. What more could I even do?

He was pretty specific about what constituted proof in order to meet his terms.

If I had a thousand dollars sitting out there for the taking I think I'd go ahead and get a notarized statement from the UND Human Resources or Payroll department. That might take some effort on my part though. I might have to do some serious sweet talking and make multiple trips to numerous different offices and a few weeks of effort to get someone in authority there to do it for me. Now that I think about it, I guess I can see where it might be too much work for a measly $1000.00.

:dunno:

Yeah, well he has been signed on and not said a peep, so I am wondering why that is.

I have no idea how to even begin to get a "notarized" statement from UND. They probably would want to hide this so it does not get out because it is so embarrassing.

So, I guess I would like to know if mrflier is really serious about this. It probably would be tax deductible and get me through some more flight lessons at UND! :D Flying is literally changing the direction of my life and I am running low on funds ya know

I'll tell you what. For 10% of your earnings I'll walk you through all the steps. The first step will be to figure out how serious he is about the bet, and I'll show you how to have him put the money up before you have to do anything else.

Then, I'll walk you through the process of getting the needed documentation and how to get it notarized. My help will cut down the amount of work that you need to do by at least 1/2 and it will only cost you 10%.

What do you say?

No thanks, I am perfectly capable of figuring it out

Sounds good!

Tell you what, if you're willing to put the effort into it, I'll give you advice along the way with no strings or preconditions.

In fact the first bit of advice is to Google 'escrow' and go back through the earlier posts...

Thank you kindly, now I will request that mrflier follows through if he is really serious about this

Another bit of advice is that you could review post #25 in this thread, and then propose who to use as the third party escrow holder. That is, if you're telling the truth about all of this. Otherwise you could just give your public apologies as you agreed to in post #29.

I'm not going to take a side in this... but, I will say as someone who uses photoshop professionally that this would be simple for anyone with five minutes of time to doctor.

So, if it were me? It would take more than this to fork over that kinda cash... Just sayin. If I were you? I'd be all over Twamley to get the documentation that he requested. Even if you spent two hours of work trying to get it... that's an awesome 500 dollar-an-hour temp job if you're being truthful... What more motivation do you need?

Once again, It is on my Campus Connection paycheck records online and on my bank statement

I am reluctant to bring someone into this unless he is willing respond. I am open to suggestions for a person to do it through

BTW, thanks for the idea I just made a bag of popcorn lol :bandit:

I'm not trying to say that it isn't...

What I am trying to say is that if I had photoshop on this computer I *could* change that image to say you made $500,000 an hour in just a few minutes.

Either way though, that's not the documentation that he asked for when you guys were making this bet. And, I'm guessing it could be due to photoshop.

People seem to fail to see that before the bet took place, what would I have to gain by "making up" this story?

Absolutely nothing.

I have multiple forms of evidence that I would be perfectly happy to show any naysayers in person. Remember that mrflier has not said a peep about this topic at all for a few days. I have an open decorum with him to set this up all he has to do is respond!
