ATTN: Current UND Students: Laptop Program

Tell you what, if you are willing to bet money on it how about you pay for my flight training if its is true? :laff::beer:

I'll tell you what. I will call your bluff. But your ATM slip is not proof. Let's get a notorized letter from HR at UND. You will have to sign a release allowing them to disclose your past pay stubs. If indeed you were overpaid and had a check in the amount of $29,000, I will give you $1000 cash and an apology.

If you are lying (as I am sure you are), then you must apologize to every person at UND who's name you have mentioned on this public forum as being incompetent or otherwise unhelpful. You must apologize in person and on this board.

Should be an easy $1,000 for you, right? Do you agree to these terms?

Jump on what? The payroll error or the BS side?

And I am sure Challenger and I could find someone mutually agreed upon to help facilitate. Of course, we would both have to agree to identify ourselves to that person. I am fine with that.

I'll send the $1000 to that person in escrow. I will take care of the release form needed for Challenger to fill out. All he has to do is show up and collect his money!

As a side note, I am no fool. I called HR this morning and while they were real hesitant to discuss anything particular, there were unequivocal about not having seen a $29,000 error in the past few months.

But, feel free to hop on his side. I'll take a side bet...what do you want? $100, $200...for you it will have to be a straight wager.

Im not taking sides nor am I betting. If that happened to me and I could prove it, I would do it.

Are you actually going to follow through with your end of the bargain?

I just looked it up on my online banking. It was put in on the 31st of July at an amount of 29,773.64, it was taken back out then on the 3rd of August. I can show may statement that say exactly when it was and who it was from. Otherwise I suppose I will need to go over to Twamley tomorrow. Either way, get out your money because it happened and I have proof!

So yes, I agree because even if you bail on the money, I will have the satisfaction of being right and proving to you that I was right. I hope that you do not make a normal habit of calling people liars when they are being 100% truthful.

Ok, let's do this. I will put up my money. However, the terms of my wager were very clear. We need to get a letter from UND HR (or payroll), not a document you provide. That letter must state that you were overpaid $29,000. In order for this to occur, you will need to sign a letter consenting to such a request. I will send my $1000 to a person we can both mutually agree upon. Is there anyone at UND Aerospace you would trust as an intermediary? If not, I am open to your suggestions.

If I am wrong, then you just earned $1000 toward your education (or whatever you want to spend it on). Consider it a scholarship from an alumnist.

If I am right, you agree to personally apologize to all UND folks who you have accused of being incompetent or otherwise have acted poorly. You will also apologize on this forum for casting aspirations upon them.

Does this work for you?

Is this really happening? I would assume you two realize how stupid you look.

Sorry, not really trying to impress anyone...just trying to defend two people this guy has insulted over several of his posts (Pete and Jannelle). These two have been a force for good at the Odegard school, and I know this guy is flat-out lying about the accounting mistake. He is trying to make UND and these two people look incompetent (for which they are far from).

My suggestion is just unsubscribe or don't read from the thread if you don't want updates or you think we look stupid.

Deal as long as they will give me a copy of it.

What did I ever say bad about Pete other then the fact that I disagree with him on the Laptop program. Quite frankly, he is the director of a program now that a lot of people are pissed off about, so I do not think it is unacceptable for me to criticize him on that level. I have talked to him on a personal level on other topics and had no problem with him.

Janelle on the other hand is a different story. She messed up my initial financial aid to the extent that I had to go to twamley to get my aid amounts fixed. Janelle's mistakes almost made it so I could not attend UND, so I have a complete right to dis her on those terms.

You must have absolutely nothing else to do or why act so hard headed. Who cares anyway, you're just escalating the situation.

After some private messages, and some of the postings on here, I've decided this will be my last post on the matter. Challenger, when/if you get your letter from HR, PM me. I will honor my side of the deal.
