13" of snow in Dallas?!? Really?!?

Speaking of weather...what has happened to The Weather Channel? I clicked it on and they were playing "Coldplay" during the local forecast. I miss the days of the super cheesy music! They have gone mainstream!!!

Men are obviously poor judges of distance/length/depth in inches....

Reminds me of a joke....

"Why are women so bad at math?"
"Because men keep telling them that this

is thirteen inches!"

To all of your northerners that say things like, "That's nothing - you guys should see the snow WE get", you're sounding pretty silly. Having lived in both the North AND the South, I can tell you that they're totally different worlds.

If Cleveland gets 6 inches, they ploy the roads, they salt the roads, and people have seen it before.

If San Antonio gets 6 inches, then you're driving down the freeway with 6 inches of snow on the freeway.

I remember getting 5 inches of snow in Jacksonville, NC one year. It was horrible. All non-essential personnel we ordered to stay home for 2 days, because there weren't enough plows and salt to clear it. It's just a geographical difference!

to all the southerner who say, "we don't have plows" you sound silly. Unless you are driving a corvette around, you don't need a plow for 6".

A couple of inches shouldn't be a show-stopper driving. It's when those driving are unaccustomed to driving in those conditions where it gets crazy.

Well, that's my whole point. Imagine when NOBODY has ever driven in it! it then becomes a show-stopper!

In a similar fashion, 100 degrees in Dallas is not the same as the occasional 100 degrees in San Jose. No air conditioning in the apartments out here.
