Aerial mappers at KSAT

I have noticed a couple aerial mapper 172's parked at KSAT (Landmark Aviation). Is it anyone here on JC?

They have had about a half dozen planes or so here at KDWH for a week now. Must be mapping the skies of Texas..

Thanks for the reply. Was hoping to meet a couple more JC'rs I'm around landmark a lot. Guess they wont be flying today...

My company has also had a plane there off and on in San Antonio and Austin, so if you see a C206 feel free to introduce yourself. We are usually out of KSSF however.

I was there earlier in the month and had 2 other aircraft doing lidar in the area... lots of mapping going on in south Texas.

I was supposed to be down in DWH Mapping with the others, however I stayed up here in Dallas. Moving to New Mexico next.

We've got guys at SAT, ELP, RBD and VCT right now. All 9 birds in TX and we've been creepin' south of the border a little bit here in El Paso :bandit:

well they took the aztec...and from the sounds of it, trying to fly grids in a war zone where a million planes are coming and going, and theres no radar coverage... not so fun. see & avoid for sure....
