Check out www.airwarriors.com for all things Naval Aviation....means Marine Corps and Coast Gaurd. However, fair warning, search and read before you ask. You will get your e-nuts kicked in if not.
Thanks for all the advice so far. I've been browsing all of the websites mentioned and I can see that if you ask a question, they deem you not smart. However, the Air Force Reserves I have yet to really research. There is a Air Force Reserve base here in Indiana. Once again thanks for all the advice.
Cry me a river, you get stomped on because you didn't take the initiative and search first. The questions you ask have been asked many, many times. You want to be a military aviator? An officer? Take some ****ing initiative and do a search, then ask what you can't find. BTW, it's not that we don't think you're smart when you ask the same question that hunderds of others have asked, whatever being smart means...it means we think you're weak. There's a difference.

A PFC needs to be spoon fed every detail to do his job, a Lt is expected to run the show.

Hey bunk22 lets calm down here I was just seeking some advice, nothing more than that. I am not weak by any means, just taking what I thought was a smart approach to ask a community of aviators that I read consistently.
Really? Really?

Really what? Have a question? Or has it been asked hundreds of times before :whatever:
It just came off as pretty damn harsh man. He's not a butter bar yet, hell, the amount of useful information out there to sort through is daunting, and I totally understand a guy wanting to ask questions. That's not to say that he shouldn't have looked, but seriously, if it upsets you that much then don't answer the question. He's still a civie, if he doesn't have enough initiative, then they'll weed him out of at OCS. Would you say the same thing to the man if he asked you in person?
Not trying to be a dick, it just came off a little harsh. I'm not tryin' to be a SNAP or anything, but for god sakes, can't we treat eachother with a little decency on here?
Not upset at all, just telling it like it is. However, his commment had to be dealt with. It's just that at those websites, we are demanding and expect a little more. If one can't handle it, then don't go there. Yes, I would say the exact same thing in person...for those who actually know me, they understand just that. If someone thinks what I just said is too harsh, I'll certainly point them in the right direction in case they need tissue or some other feminine product.
Lol. Awesome, I'm down with that. Just seemed a little harsh to me, but to each his own.
I appreciate the input and to bunk22 I am glad for the honesty. I will be a first generation going into the military. I have been researching many websites and I have a few fellow military aviators in town this weekend to point me in the right direction.
