Why David Clark ...

I sent my 3yr old X11's back to them with an issue 6 days ago. Today I received a brand new set in the mail... that's why!

DC's are pretty rock solid for what you pay. I have the H10-13.4, comfortable and zero issues. Maybe I'm too poor, but I just couldn't imagine spending $1,000 for a headset.

I just love the retro look.

My left ear piece went out after about a year, now the mic is acting up...my headset is in a bag at all times when not in use and isn't thrown around. Still looks brand new.

Oh and $3 ear buds from Wal Mart under DC's and they are uber quiet.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my DC's. Never had an issue with them. I had to replace the earseals about 6 months ago. You need about 6 hands to do this with minimal cursing, but they were pretty much brand new when I was done. One word of advice, don't ever use them without a foam cover over the mic.

They are a model for customer service.

I had to replace the ear seal recently also, quite the ordeal! Otherwise, I love my David Clark headset

Oregon Aero foam earseals. Won't ever leak, the only time they're worse than the gel's is when they're really cold and haven't warmed to your body heat yet. They're a bit stiff then and leak sound.

I picked up a set of Telex 50D's on eBay for $220, added a oregon aero upgrade and they are awesome (ANR to boot)

I've never had one problem with my DC's and I think I got them around 98 or 99. I've dealt with the company for a sponsorship and I have to say they are top notch for customer service!

Spend 100 more and get a bose, same customer support except not a crappy noise canceling and less comfortable headset.

15 years, 5000 hours, one set of ear seals, zero problems. None. Drop them, kick them, freeze them, leave them in 130 degree heat. They've never seen the inside of a "headset bag". Customer for life. Would never even consider another brand.

If anyone lives near their Worcester, MA factory, definitely stop by even if there's nothing wrong with them. As of a few years ago, they still do a quick once-over and replace anything wrong for free if you take it in personally. I took mine and a friends in a few years ago, and essentially walked out with 2 brand new sets. They replaced everything but the serial number. Fantastic service and support. Love 'em.

Best headset I have ever owned... I had a pair that I sent back that were 4 years old, free fix and all new seals and fabric, they are like brand new

I have a pair of Bose now and I don't feel comfortable in them for some reason. Probably because there isn't a clamp to them.

I just love the retro look.

Retro!? In my book they're still in vogue! :rawk:

I'm a fan.

I own two 10-30s.

I couldn't be happier.

Yeah I broke my pair, because the cord was wrapped around my foot, they repaired them very quickly and sent it right back to me.

DC has a great passive product. I've never tried the active.

13.4s FTW. I just bought my first set about a month ago and I love them. The passive noise reduction is great.

Whats reduation mean?

I have used David Clamps. The only complaint I had was the clamping force on my head. I now own Bose. You wanna talk about customer support. The ones I got, the mic wasnt working out of the box. So I called them up, they next day aired me a new set. Yeah they were a little over a grand, but it's the best money I've spent on aviation in a long, long while. Especially now since my wife isn't constantly telling me to turn down the tv. I think all the other headset manufactures should model their customer support to that of these two companies.
