Where's my confirmation for Chicago PEPC week of June 22?

04/13-REFERRAL LIST
05/19-SELECTED FOR ZHU (HOUSTON CENTER)
05/26-Still waiting for someone to tell me what day I'm gong to the PEPC

Am I the only one still waiting on a date? Do they ever underestimate how many people they can fit in a week? Am I just getting a little:panic: parinoid for nothing and should shut my ass up and just wait for am email..........

Help a sista out:rolleyes:

Speak of the devil.... they just told me I will not be going to Chicago PEPC because they have indeed have FILLED ALL SLOTS!!!

Looks like its the traditional interview process for me......:rolleyes:

There are quite a few people still waiting on their PEPC confirmation emails. I wouldn't panic quite yet. :-)

Edit: and now I see your reply that you were told they were full. Sorry. :-(

Seems like a lot of people were told there wasn't room for them.

That sucks.

It's starting to look like anyone who hasn't received a PEPC confirmation email yet will not be getting into the PEPC. Looks like it's going to be the traditional route for a lot of us.

Is anyone else waiting on Connie to send out the emails for PEPC invites or traditional route information? Just trying to see how many are still waiting.

I would wait to see if theres another PEPC in July before going traditional. I was in Pubnat2 and was late getting my notifictation so the Nov08 PEPC filled up. I had to wait till jan09 to go to PEPC which was a painful 2 month wait but glad I did that because I still finished my clearances before my friends who went traditional.

I believe its well worth the wait to go the PEPC route, I recommend those to wait for a PEPC because unless ur facility is in critical need you will be waiting for an OKC date anyways.There are tons of pubnat 2ers including myself waiting on OKC dates, so there is a long line.

Pubnat 2's who went to the LA PEPC at the end of january got selection emails 10-10-2008 and we waitied almost 100 days for a PEPC and I am super happy going PEPC route.

Does anyone know when the next PEPC after Chicago will be?

They're signing people up for the traditional route automatically. They haven't announced another PEPC yet. At this point we're not being given a choice.

A couple people over on Stuck Mic received offers today. No mention of a future PEPC either...just telling them that they have been selected for an interview via the traditional route and someone will call to schedule in a few weeks.

These were NOT people who received the email last week and tried to get the PEPC either...this is their first email from the ATO assigning them to the traditional route.

As far as I was aware you can email them and say you wish to be put on a list to be contacted about future pepcs, I didn't know if i was going to be able to make the Jan-LA PEPC and at one point was even put on the list to be contacted about future PEPC's, but not knowing when the Next PEPC will be might make a better case for going traditional route.

having only one PEPC for pubnat 5/6, CTI, and VRA panels seams to indicate that hiring may be coming to a temporary halt and the absence of any recent Pubnat announcement is further evidence of this.very troubling.

Recieved this email from Connie just before 1pm today:

Thank you for responding to our inquiry regarding an interview for the air traffic control specialist position with the FAA, and indicating that you wish to proceed through the Pre-Employment Processing Center (PEPC) process. Unfortunately, all of the slots in the June PEPC have been filled so we are scheduling you for the traditional interview process. You will be contacted within the next few weeks to schedule your interview

There is a post on SM that says that the Careers Division has confirmed that there will be no PEPCs after the June one in Chicago.

man they are really ramping the hiring process down big time from last year. I declined a PEPC in Aug of 08 to do the "slow" process as I was still Active Duty and I was cleared in enough time to make an Oct 08 class date. So I dont know how much faster PEPC process is as a friend of mine who went to the Memphis PEPC has yet to receive a class date for the academy and Im getting ready to go back to OKC for RTF

I think the biggest factor is where you are actually headed. Some places seem to get their people a lot faster than others.

Usually that's what happens when they fill up. They just don't reply to anyone for a few days. Same thing happened to me after the PUBNAT2 panels. I ended up getting a class date before quite a few people from the KC PEPC anyway, so I don't feel too bad about it. :D

If going the traditional route how will they contact you for an interview, phone, email, mail..?????
