I certainly don't want to hijack this thread but, I am curious about the references to "lurkers". There is an insidious and predatory tone associated with the term. Is there some special segment of JCers that segregates some as "lurkers" and others not? What actually constitues a "lurker"? I figured a common interest in aviation was what bonded JC participants. Please educate me. Thanks.

A Lurker is someone who reads and doesn't contribute with a post or opinion. It can also reference someone who does not ever register with the associated forum.
Although I do not agree with wisking away lurkers by restricting access to potential jobs, I do understand it with the present job availability.
