****pubnat3&4****

Maybe I am unclear of the paper work. But just to be clear on what everyone else is getting.

I got from my HR rep
-3300 a record of family relationship
-and an applicant contact info. sheet

I filled out both of these and first faxed them to her.
She said she did not receive them yet so I scanned them and emailed in pdf format.

From my PEPC person (not sure what to call them but the email address that sent out PEPC info) I only got....
-8500 applicant for airmen medical
-and an of306 declaration for fed. employment.

From what I understood we are supposed to fill out the 306 form and fax that in. The other sheet we take with us to PEPC

Is this all correct. Reading the posts it seems like Some people got more in their emails to fill out. Maybe this is different bc I am terminal???

Don't forget to mail in your College transcript and then call to make sure it made it...:)

I sent in all those forms last week... and didn't get an e qip authorization. I filled out the SF 86 (Thanks Honu!!). When do you all think I should start pestering??:hiya:

I think there is no rush on it at all, because you don't officially sign off on it until the PEPC. Just try to get it in time for the PEPC. You can finish it in one day.

The PEPC confirmation email says 10-14 days prior to PEPC that you should have it. Many of us already do, but I wouldn't really sweat it till that time frame. I'm sure it'll come Monday or Tuesday.

They honestly don't give a hoot about your transcripts unless that's how you qualified for the job or your are a CTI. If you have the work experience, there's no need.

Are they even looking at the grades, or do they just want them to verify you went to school?

My e-mail says:
OFFICIAL COLLEGE TRANSCRIPTS MUST BE RECEIVED BEFORE OU RECEIVE YOUR FIRM OFFER LETTER.

Which gives me the impression they don't even use it in the decision process, since the FOL comes so late in the game.

Should I be concerned if I haven't received an E-QIP email yet?

No need to worry for us Chicago people....they are currently getting all the appointment times and E-Qip info out to New York people due to it being right around the corner. We should receive the time and the other info no later than 2 weeks prior to our scheduled day.

Hope that helps.

I asked my HR rep about them and she said unless you are using college credit to qualify for the job, they don't need them. Since I met the work requirement as well, I didn't need to send them in, even though I have a BBA.

Good to know. I was going to try to dig them out but wont sweat it as I am based on work history as well.

Is HR observing tomorrow's holiday?

i.e. no emails

Were you looking a week ahead at Presidents' Day? That isn't until 2-16-09. Other than V-Day, the only holiday I see this week is Lincoln's B-Day on Thursday!

Has anyone talked to OKC about more emails going out? No one there will tell me if I was selected or not. I have horrible luck and keep getting Pam, who tells you nothing but to wait!!!

I'll answer my own question.

I got a call back from an HR lady (the HR rep or my friend who was selected for ZDV) and she looked me up and told me that I was not selected. Then she gave me some very helpful information.

Her region is the Western US En Route facilities, who were supposed to be hiring 200 new people this past panel, but only ended up hiring 60 because of budget cuts. NO ONE was hired for LA, Seattle or SLC centers AT ALL. They hired where the help was needed MOST: Oakland and Denver. She did say not to give up, they were still in need of lots of people. She said a new application should be opening up by the end of the month, but she didn't know the exact date. She also said that they are changing their process, "Thank God!" was her own response to that!! She said from here on out you only need to apply to 1 application and you will be in the system for the whole year! She also said they are doing away with the Geo Pref emails and you will be required to select your 2 locations WHEN YOU APPLY. So that tells me you can't change it later in the year so if you choose places that are not in need, you will have to deal or reapply and maybe that will change it...? (Didn't think to ask her about that at the time)

Hopefully this will help some people out that are still waiting for emails like I was, and will also give you some insight to how things will work with new applications.

That's so awesome to know! Thanks so much for the heads up!!

Well I'm a teacher and school's out today because today is the day they are observing Lincoln's B-Day. They tend to give you two three day weekends in a row to avoid a four day weekend.

So I was just wondering.

She said from here on out you only need to apply to 1 application and you will be in the system for the whole year!

Does this pertain to people who have applied to 1-4 or will it go into affect starting with 8? Or even 5?

That was the only important part of this post...so if you want to you can stop reading now.

I understand you might not have gotten into those kind of specifics with her. If that doesn't start until 8 then it will be a very long time off...so her relief suggests that it will start right away. Also, since it takes nearly a year to get through the process...even those who do apply should probably keep doing so since they are only likely to catch maybe two panels...three if you're lucky...within that year.

When my husband applied (PUBNAT4) he sent it off into cyberspace and forgot about it. It never occurred to us that you would have to apply again to a job you've already applied to since most employers keep applications for 6 month to a year. By the time he got his AT-SAT approval in September we had already missed 5 and 6 and the holidays swept us away during 7. So 4 is our one and only. By the time 8 hits panels he'll be close to 31, unless they combine 5/6 and then 7/8.

Basically I really want this to apply to us.

nooooooooooooooooooo....

i can't stand to see this thread on page 2...

...what will I do without it?

true if we didnt have multiple posts about the same thing we might have time on our hands to think about the wait again. Oh no I just did
