A Very Special Thanks to Everyone

To everyone that made cash donations, forwarded supportive messages and cards or just gave Kristie and I ideas and support during Operation: “Care Pack to Iraq”, Kristie and I cannot find enough words to express our extraordinary gratitude.

Each donation was important and motivational, not only for them – but for us too. Soon, these soldiers will receive a touch of Christmas joy and a good reminder that friends, family and the American spirit eagerly await their safe return.

From what I’ve heard from various war veterans that I’ve encountered during this effort, the feat that you all accomplished will be appreciated more than you will ever realize. What struck me is that the Vietnam veteran I met today at DHL/Airborne Express said that if he had only received an empty box with his name on it during his tour of duty, it’d have brought him tremendous joy. Upon seeing the individually packaged boxes full of treats and creature comforts, he knew that it would bring our soldiers a lot of warmth when they arrive in Kirkuk, Iraq.

You all are “Santa” and Kristie and I are merely the elfish little helpers.

I’d like to also give a personal thanks to DHL/Airborne Express. Their greatly discounted shipping rates in support of Operation: “Care Pack to Iraq” was tremendously appreciated and I am indebted to their patience and helpfulness in getting the shipment to Iraq.

Join us in keeping the soldiers in our thoughts until they return safely to Tucson to their eagerly awaiting families and friends.

Thank you,
Doug and Kristie Taylor
